The Arizona Museum of Natural History encourages groups of all types to visit the museum for an educational and fun experience.

Group admission rates are available for organized groups of 10 or more with an advance reservation. In order to receive this special rate, one person must check-in and pay for the entire group at one time.

Please call 480.644.3553 to make a reservation or for more information.

Because of staffing and budget cuts, we are unable to offer guided tours of the museum.

School Groups

We have Educator Resource Guides on-line with pre- and post-visit activities to help make your visit more relevant to the curriculum at your school. The resource guides are designed to meet national and state standards by grade level. The specific standards achieved are outlined in the guides.


Frequently Asked Questions


School group rate:

  • $5.00 per person - students, teachers, and chaperones

 

Method of Payment:

  • School check or personal check (with picture ID)

  • Credit card (MC, VISA, DISCOVER, & AMEX)

  • School purchase order (original purchase order must be received on or before the day of your visit)

  • Cash

Chaperones:  We require at least one (1) adult for every ten (10) students. The chaperones are responsible for the students in their group, and must keep their group together. Students, regardless of age, cannot wander through the museum without an adult.

Confirmations:  A written confirmation with instructions for payment, dropping off and picking up students and parking will be sent to you after your reservation is made.

  • Number of students
  • Teacher name
  • Grade level
  • Complete school address
  • Contact name and phone number
  • Preferred date and time of visit


Memory Packets: 
Remember your visit to the Arizona Museum of Natural History with Memory Packets from the Museum Store. Each fun and educational packet is only $1.00! You will receive an order form with your confirmation letter.

 

Adult Groups

To qualify for the group rate, you are required to:

  • have a minimum of ten people.
  • schedule at least one (1) week in advance.


Museum Admission for Adult Groups

  • $7.00 per person


Method of Payment:

  • Personal check (with photo ID)
  • Credit card (MC, VISA, DISCOVER, & AMEX)
  • Cash

Private Groups

Group admission rates are available for organized private groups of 10 or more with an advance reservation. In order to receive this special rate, one person must check-in and pay for the entire group at one time. Please call 480.644.3553 to schedule your visit at least one (1) week in advance.


Guided tours of the museum MAY BE available. Please make your request when you book your reservation.

To qualify for the group rate, you are required to:

  • have a minimum of ten paying people (age 2 and under is free).
  • schedule at least one (1) week in advance.


If there are children in your group, you must have at least one (1) adult for every ten (10) children. Adults are responsible for the children in their group. The adult MUST keep their group together. Children under age 16 cannot wander through the museum without an adult.

Museum Admission for Private Groups (adults and children)

  • $9.00 per adult

  • $5.00 per child (age 3 and up)

  • Cash
